Poor people are present also in Western countries, and include most small business people (the backbone of the economy, who create employment and often innovatively work over for 60 hours a week). There are many unemployed people, who often work harder than employed people, either desperately trying to find work, volunteering to help people, or trying to do God's will. If you earn money or profit, it does not mean to say that you are better, more clever, hard working or honest than people who don't. It is just that you are fortunate enough to have received work, or money. If you were the victims of ill fortune, you would be in poverty, and be denied the right to do many things. Therefore it does not seem fair that those with savings or investments, who are not using these for God's will, or that those being paid money above the equivalent of a Western pension, should keep it for themselves. Instead they should use it wisely for God, or to help others. This could include purchasing tools for God's purpose, or giving money away, or investing it in places that really need it for God's will. Those with plenty should be trying to achieve God's purposes by helping those in need. We need certain things such as tools, to do God's will. However people seem to be obtaining goods for themselves or for others, that are not needed, or not essential. Many purchases have more features and incur greater expense than needed. People who call themselves Christians often overindulge in themselves by buying the best, and gain too many possessions etc. such as cars, holidays, clothes, houses, jewellery, ornaments and fashions. Many often spend too much time striving for better appearances, instead of helping those with almost nothing. They are over concerned about winning, and about being the best themselves, instead of being concerned for others who are less fortunate. They invest money in places that don't need it, instead of in ones that need funds to do God's work, only caring about making money for themselves, instead of having an attitude of giving. They keep more than they need to barely survive, yet watch those close around them in poverty, denied an opportunity to do Gods will. They try to have a good time, and spend their money on unnecessary luxuries, instead of trying to help those who really are in need. They are proud of the possessions and money that they earn, instead of humbly supporting those in need. Nothing could be much worse and unloving, than people with above the world medium wage, who instead of lobbying for lower costs, want higher wages for themselves, when achieving this would destroy other people's jobs, destroy struggling small businesses who could not afford to pay them, and destroy the economy and exports, by making things too expensive. Many people support trade unions, which stand for pride and greed, and destroy the battlers, such as small businesses which try to create jobs and better products. Trade unions also destroy jobs, and in doing so destroy people's lives. Their historical root is in evil communism. Too many people who call themselves Christians, do or support the things described above, which are wrong and will put them in danger, as indicated by the below Scriptures. Perhaps they should use their time or money to promote the truth, lobby for a better country, help those in need, do God's will, or support those who wish to do God's will. The satanic world system is convincing people that they have to be making money for themselves, to be a good and successful person. It is forcing them to look for, and do work that they don't like, as success in small business is almost impossible due to corruption. This is taking a lot of people's time, focusing them away from God, causing pride which is evil, and taking other people's jobs away. As unemployment is so high in some places, it would be better for many people to do God's will in other ways, such as by doing things of eternal significance, instead of wasting their time trying to make money, in cases where it is very unlikely they could do so. Many people can survive on Government benefits, or with the help of others, so those without a job or career would be better off volunteering to do God's ministry, like our examples which are Jesus and his disciples. There are hardly any people who do God's ministry in a correct and bold manner, like the apostles. Unlike opportunities to make money, God's ministry is available to everyone. It could be either helping and praying for those in need, promoting literature, or boldly speaking the message to people you know or seek to meet. After being converted the disciples of Jesus had no unnecessary possessions. They either gave their paid occupations or money away, and were only concerned about boldly spreading the gospel and helping others. If you are doing an occupation that is for the good of people, and earns you an income, God may not want you to give your career away, as it is probably more practical to use any money you earn (in excess of approximately a pension), to give to the needy, or to someone else to do God's will.
